Glenda Kinzel

Hello! My name is Glenda Kinzel and I am new to The Galloway School this year. I will be teaching ELA for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I live in Pearland with my husband and two sweet dogs. We have two grown daughters and three precious grandchildren.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Houston and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi. For my Masters I did my practium at the county Psychiaric hospital specializing in Adolescents with behavior problems and personality disorders. Then worked 5 years for a Clinical Psychologist. All this time I was thinking how much i missed teaching and having a classroom full of chidren. So I went back to teaching in Corpus Christi, Edmund, OK, and League City. I retired from Clear Creek I S D after 33 years of teaching in 2016. I have been a Substitute teacher in Pearland for the past three years. However, my heart was not in subbing—I missed the classroom and having my own family of students.
My love of learning, working with children, and making a difference in their lives is what lead me to The Galloway School. My belief that every child can learn, excel, and grow sociallyis evident in each of my classes. This is due to the respect, support, and guidanceI give to all my students. All children in a supportive atmosphere will grow and thrive.
