Library & Music

My name is Kirstin Todd and I will be your child’s librarian and lower school music teacher this year.  I am very proud and excited to begin my 8th year teaching at Galloway!  From a very young age I was interested in becoming a teacher and I began my study at UCLA in Los Angeles where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree and teacher training.  I furthered my studies at UH Clear Lake where I received my M.A.’s in School Library and Information Science as well as Reading and Literacy.  I have been a lifelong music student and have pursued studies in music theory, orchestra, composition and more.  I am passionate about bringing my love of music and literature into the hearts and minds of my students!

I have been married to my husband Michael for 17 years and have 2 beautiful children, daughter Anna (8) and son Michael (15).  I love to read, play guitar/ piano/violin and cook!  I look forward to a fun-filled adventure in learning this year at Galloway!

Music and literature have been at the center of my life since childhood and I strive to bring this love to my students by creating an atmosphere in the library and music classroom of curiosity, exploration, and creativity.
