Krystle Smith
1st Grade

Welcome to 1st Grade! My name is Krystle Smith and we are going to have a fantastic and fun year together!

I was born and raised in Friendswood, Texas. I graduated from Friendswood High School in 2004. I continued my education at San Jacinto College Central and South campuses, graduating in 2006 with an Associate of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education. I furthered my education at The University of Houston-Clear Lake, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-4. I returned to the University of Houston-Clear Lake in the fall of 2011 to pursue a degree in Counseling. I graduated in the spring of 2014 with a Master of Science Degree in Counseling.

This will be my 7th year of teaching. I previously taught in Pearland ISD; two years in 1st grade then two years in 3rd grade Math, Science and Social Studies. After deciding to stay at home for awhile with my children, I taught PreK 4 Advanced at In His Steps, which allowed me to have more time to be home with my children while still being able to do what I love ~ teaching. This will be my second year teaching 1st Grade at The Galloway School.

My family and I live in Friendswood. I am blessed with a loving and supportive husband, Jason. Together we have three wonderful boys. Parker will be 5 in November and will start PreK 4 here at The Galloway School. Our twins, Wade and Reed are 3 and will start PreK 3 here at The Galloway School. I am excited to get to do what I love and still spend time with my boys. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, going shopping, getting a pedicure or picking up a book and reading.

I am excited and looking forward to a new year! I believe every child is unique and holds a passion for learning. The student, parents and teacher together become a team to best support and provide a secure, engaging and loving environment in which a child is able to succeed and grow into their full potential as a lifelong learner. Thank you for entrusting me with your precious children.
