Extraordinary Learning Experiences!

A Knowledge Quest is an extraordinary Galloway learning adventure involving students, teachers, and parents in a field experience far exceeding any imaginable learning experience in a school setting. Knowledge Quests provide high-quality, authentic learning expeditions that supercharge the learning experience through experiential learning, inquiry, collaboration, interdependency, authentic tasks and experiences, high-level engagement, and advanced performance in the cognitive and affective learning domains.

2nd & 3rd Grade Knowledge Quest - Camp Allen, Nacogdoches, TX

Students will travel to Camp Allen, near Navasota, TX, to enjoy a two-day, one-night camping adventure where they will engage in hands-on, outdoor learning experiences to enhance awareness, understanding, and a sense of responsibility toward each other and our environment. Through this Outdoor Education Program, students will engage in real-world tasks in various science and social studies fields.

 

4th Grade Knowledge Quest - Texas History Adventure, San Antonio - Austin, TX

Students will begin their two-day, one-night learning experience with a tour of the State Capitol, the LBJ Presidential Library, the Bullock Texas State History Museum, and the Texas State Cemetery.

Texas history will come alive as students explore important historical sites throughout San Antonio, such as the Alamo and the San Jose Mission. 

5th Grade Knowledge Quest - Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia & Washington D.C.

Students will travel to Boston on this four-day, three-night learning adventure for a focus on American history from the Mayflower landing to the American Revolution.  Students will visit sites such as Bunker Hill, the Old North Church, and the Plimoth Patuxet Plantation.  The Freedom Trail, Boston Common, State House, and the Boston Tea Party Museum are additional key sites students will explore.  In addition to reliving historical events, students will tour Harvard University, an important institute of higher learning.
