Here’s just a sneak peek into our technology class as Mr. Williamson works with our 5th graders on building an important skill for the future — typing! Students are practicing proper finger placement while working to improve their speed and accuracy on the keyboard. Developing strong typing skills now helps set our students up for success in middle school and beyond, and Mr. Williamson keeps the class engaging and fun. We were excited to welcome Premier Martial Arts to campus this week for a special lesson with our students! 🥋 Our Owls had a great time learning basic martial arts techniques while also hearing about the importance of focus, discipline, and respect. Our 3rd–5th-grade students recently took learning to new heights with an incredible Virtual Reality field trip to the International Space Station! Using VR technology, students experienced what it’s like to orbit Earth, explore the inside of the ISS, and see how astronauts live and work in space. From floating through modules to observing our planet from above, this immersive experience brought science and space exploration to life in an unforgettable way. 🤠⭐ Go Texan Day at Galloway! ⭐🤠 Last Friday, our halls were filled with boots, bandanas, blue jeans, and big Texas smiles as we celebrated Go Texan Day at Galloway! 🐴🌵Students and teachers showed off their Texas pride in true Lone Star style — from cowboy hats to western wear — while enjoying a day full of school spirit and fun. It was the perfect way to kick off rodeo season! And the heat was on at our chili cook-off! 🌶️🔥 After some tough competition and lots of tasty samples, Mrs. DenBleyker took home the win! 🚀✨ 2nd Grade is Over the Moon! ✨🌙 Our 2nd graders have been busy creating their very own solar systems — on paper! Using creativity, color, and careful planning, students designed and labeled each planet in order from the Sun while learning fun facts along the way.
